Is MANNDORA Jewelry waterproof?
Yes and No. MANNDORA jewelry can withstand occasional exposure to water, salt or soap. If you accidentally get your jewelry wet, don’t worry, nothing will happen.
However, we do not recommend getting your jewelry wet on a regular basis or for extended periods of time. Here’s why: certain gemstones can absorb water which may cause discoloration, cracks, or loss of shine. Exposure to soap or saltwater leaves a visible residue that makes gemstones look cloudy or dirty. This residue is particularly hard to remove from inside our beaded designs. Additionally, salt can cause gemstones to become brittle or crack, or change color over time.
We recommend removing your MANNDORA jewelry before washing hands, showering, swimming or working out.
You invested a lot into owning a piece of rare, artisanal piece of jewelry. Don’t treat it like you would cheap, fashion jewelry!
What to do if my jewelry accidentally gets into contact with saltwater or soap?
Rinse your jewelry with fresh, lukewarm water then dry thoroughly and clean with a soft cloth.
Is your jewelry made of authentic gemstones?
Yes it is! All of our gemstone beads are 100% ethically sourced, authentic and carefully selected by our skilled artisan. We do not use any plastic or glass beads, only PURE NATURAL STONE.
Will your jewelry tarnish or turn my skin green?
All our metal components are made of non-tarnish, rustproof stainless steel. They will not tarnish, turn your skin green and do not need regular polishing.
Is your jewelry hypoallergenic?
Yes, it is! Our jewelry components are made of 100% hypoallergenic, nickel-free stainless steel. They will NOT cause any allergic reactions, rashes or green skin.
Is there a warranty for the jewelry I purchased?
Our warranty covers damages that shouldn’t normally occur during normal wear and tear, and happened within 12 months of the purchase date.
Each warranty repair request will be evaluated on an individual basis. If the defect appears to be caused by material failure or mechanism flaws, we will gladly offer free repairs within 12 months of the purchase date. If the defect appears to be caused by accidental damage, customer negligence, or happened outside of the 12 months warranty window, it will not be covered under warranty, however it could still be repaired for a fee. To find out if the damage can be repaired under warranty, or to request a repair, please send us an email to support@manndoradesign.com with pictures of the item and we will advise you about the available options.
What to do if I accidentally damage my jewelry or need it refurbished?
At MANNDORA, we offer professional repairs, restringing and refurbishment services for each item purchased from us. Please email us at support@manndoradesign.com with pictures of the item to be repaired and we will provide you with a custom quote for the services.
